EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings have signed 10-year veteran defensive back Bobby McCain while still seeking depth and experience for their secondary. McCain played his first six seasons for the Miami Dolphins after being drafted in the fifth round in 2015 out of Memphis. Minnesota defensive coordinator Brian Flores was coach of the Dolphins during McCain's last two years there. The 5-foot-9, 196-pound McCain primarily played cornerback in Miami. He began playing some safety under Flores before moving in 2021 to the Washington Commanders. In the first of two seasons there, McCain made eight starts at each position.
