(KSL News) The football field at Rice-Eccles Stadium got a patriotic new look today.
The football stadium was host to a giant American flag that goes from goal line to goal line and is 50 yards wide.
The flag was manufactured by Colonial Flag of Sandy. The client who purchased the flag will be using it for halftime shows and opening-day ceremonies and similar big events around the country.
The flag, made of nylon, weighs 1,200 pounds and is made in 14 separate pieces.
Each of the stars is seven and a half feet in diameter.
