(KSL News)-- A paraglider got stuck up a tree in Big Cottonwood Canyon today. The woman was aiming to land in a clearing in the canyon when she lost power and started going down.
Capt. Fitzgerald Petersen, Unified Fire Authority: "She was able to avoid the power lines, but she ended up in the tree because she simply did not have the altitude that she needed."
The woman was trapped more than fifty feet off the ground. Fire crews had to bring out a special extension ladder to get her down.
She was not injured.
