(KSL News) A bill to give Utah a fourth Congressional seat has been approved by a House Judiciary Committee.
The measure would also give Washington, D.C. its first seat in Congress.
Opponents of the bill question if the plan is legal, claiming membership to the House is limited to states, and D.C. is not a state. Legal experts disagree, saying Congress has the right to pass legislation dealing with the city.
The bill now moves to the House floor.
