(KSL News) Mitt Romney went on CNN's Larry King Live last night. The main issue? Religion.
Larry King, CNN: "What do you make of the Mormon issue? Is it fair to bring it up?"
Mitt Romney, (R) presidential candidate: "People can look at whatever they'd like. People are going to make an assessment of the person who is President of the United States, or they wouldn't be president, based on every piece of information that they have.
"If they take a look at me and my family, they will say, 'This guy has the same values I have.' My religion's theology may be different than that of other faiths, but my religion is like other religions. It has its own unusual beliefs, for those who weren't born in the church. And yet it has also taught me to be a better person than I would have been. I'm not perfect, but I have a better marriage because of my faith. My kids are better kids because of their faith. And I'm frankly a better person than I would have otherwise been."
Romney trails in most polls behind former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Arizona Senator John McCain.
