SALT LAKE CITY -- A judge has ordered a West Valley City man to stand trial for the murder of his girlfriend's former boyfriend.
Prosecutors say Justin Guymon, 28, stabbed Steve Doolittle several times during a fight on Nov. 26, 2009, in West Valley City. Doolittle later died.
The Deseret News reports Guymon's girlfriend, Cherie Rich, testified Wednesday that Doolittle threw the first punches.
Doolittle's sister, Barbara Lamkey, told the court that Guymon had taunted her brother for days. She says on the day of the deadly fight, Guymon threw the first punch.
Third District Judge Glen Iwasaki set Guymon's arraignment for March 15.
