(KSL News) Today a rally will be held against a proposed six-lane highway that would run through northern Utah County.

The Mountain View Corridor would cut through the west side of Salt Lake County and northern Utah County, connecting I-80 to I-15.

But Citizens Organized for Smarter Transportation say the road will threaten residents' way of life. They say noise levels will increase, property value will decrease and health risks will be elevated.

Their rally is tonight at the Lehi Legacy Center.
