SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah has a hot housing market with a lot of buyers. The state also has a lot of real-estate agents.

There were 25,829 licensed agents in Utah last June. According to the Utah Division of Real Estate, that's a 33 percent increase from 2005.

And by January 1, the number had climbed by nearly another one-thousand.

That adds up to roughly one agent for every 100 people living in Utah. Real-estate agents outnumber every other licensed profession in the state.
