Tom Callan, KSL Newsradio One month ago the shootings occurred at Trolley Square. Yet it seems like only yesterday for some.

The candles don't burn anymore along the indoor waterfall, but the flowers are still fresh. One woman I talked to thought the crime was incomprehensible.

Shopper: "It gives you goose bumps to even be in here. Not here in Utah; it doesn't happen in Salt Lake."

Tom Callan: "Yet it did."

Shopper: "It did. That's the whole thing. It did."

The management at Trolley Square is planning to create a permanent memorial for the victims.
