FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) -- The skies above Davis County may be full of smoke today. That's because wildlife officials are planning a prescribed burn.

Officials at the Division of Wildlife Resource say the man-made blaze is set to be ignited at 10:30 this morning in Farmington Bay, if the weather permits.

It's all part of an effort to get rid of a plant called phragmities.

Wildlife officials say the controlled burns could continue throughout the week as they burn the plants northward from Farmington Bay.
