SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Qwest Communications says long distance service is back operating normally after some isolated outages.

Some customers in parts of Qwest's 14-state region got a busy signal when making long distance calls.

A company spokesman says the outage was probably caused by an equipment upgrade that was done over the weekend but that's still under investigation.
