PROVO, Utah -- In cooperation with the Mountain West Conference and its broadcast partners, the BYU Athletics Department today announced additional broadcast plans and game times for the 2005 football season.
The Cougars' home game against Eastern Illinois on Sept. 10 will be produced by SportsWest and broadcast locally on KSL-TV. Game time against the Panthers is scheduled for 1 p.m. at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo.
Following a scheduled bye week, BYU will play host to TCU--the newest member of the Mountain West Conference. The Sept. 24 game against the Horned Frogs has been selected as the MWC Game of the Week and will be produced by ESPN+Plus. The game will be broadcast locally on KJZZ-TV. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. (MT) at Edwards Stadium.
On Saturday, Oct. 8, the Cougars will travel to Albuquerque to take on New Mexico at 6 p.m. (MT) at University Stadium. The league game will be produced by SportsWest and broadcast locally on KSL-TV. The game will also be available in Albuquerque on KRQE-TV.
With today's announcement, a total of six games have now been slated for national, regional or local television broadcasts. Kickoff times and broadcast plans for the remaining five games will be announced as the information becomes available.
The Cougars will kickoff the 2005 season on Saturday, Sept. 3 against Boston College at 1:30 p.m. (MT). The game will be broadcast regionally on ABC (locally on KTVX, Ch. 4). On Saturday, Oct. 1, BYU will take on San Diego State at 7 p.m. (PT). The game will be broadcast live to a national audience on ESPN Classic. The Cougars' game at Notre Dame on Oct. 22 will be broadcast nationally on NBC. Game time is scheduled at 1:30 p.m.
