(KSL News) If you've started feeling the familiar sting of pain at the pump you're not alone. Gas prices nationwide are creeping up into familiar territory--similar to the high prices we saw last summer.

"Gas, it's outrageous."

"It makes me want to curse. Can I curse on camera?"

"I don't even look anymore. I have to have gas in my car, so I just close my eyes and fill it up."

The national average price for unleaded gas jumped by 30 cents in the last month, recently breaking the $2.50-a-gallon mark.

That's still below last summer's high point, but officials say something could cause a spike.

Utah prices are still below the national average. We pay an average of $2.27 a gallon.
