(KSL News) Tuition could be going up at Utah Valley State College, but school officials say its still a bargain.
Last night the school's board of trustees approved plans to increase tuition by almost seven percent, to $1,500 a semester for Utah residents and just over $5,000 a semester for out-of-state students.
The board of trustees says the additional funds could be used to recruit new students and to improve the new library currently under construction.
The board of regents will decide on the tuition increase sometime today.
