(KSL News) -- Taylorsville police helped arrest a California fugitive.
Juan Carlos Roman was involved in a gang-related fight last February. Police say Roman and his girlfriend used a car to chase others. Roman rammed other vehicles, his car rolled, his girlfriend was ejected and killed.
Roman apparently fled to Utah after the car crash and has lived in Salt Lake ever since. Police are holding him in the Salt Lake county jail until Anaheim police can extradite him back to California.
