For two days each year at this time, many of us at KSL turn our attention to raising money for Primary Children's Medical Center. This is the 31st year for the annual KSL NewsRadio/Primary Children's Radiothon.

We do it because it is a most worthy cause.

Primary Children's, of course, is the main pediatric center for a five-state area. It is equipped to treat children with complex illness and injury. At Primary Children's, patients and their families can be assured of world class treatment.

Unfortunately, these days, many families lack insurance and the personal resources to afford such quality care. Yet, the hospital is committed to treating all children regardless of the ability to pay.

That's where KSL NewsRadio's Annual Radiothon comes in.

Every penny raised via the Radiothon goes toward charity care. None of it is used for fund-raising or to cover administrative costs. Since its inception, we're pleased to report, the tally is in excess of $5 million.

Once again this year, we encourage your participation. We implore you to tune in to the Radiothon tomorrow and Wednesday on KSL NewsRadio 1160 AM and 102.7 FM. Catch the spirit of the occasion and, if inclined, call in with a pledge. By so doing, you'll experience the satisfaction of knowing you're helping a child.
