MONTICELLO, Utah (AP) -- An investigation is underway into a car collision in southern Utah that killed a teenage boy and injured two people.
It happened Saturday on state Route 491 in San Juan County.
The Utah Highway Patrol says Luis Alejandro Najara was killed after his car hit a patch of ice, spun out of control and crashed into another vehicle.
Troopers say the teen was speeding at the time of the accident.
Officers say a 55-year-old woman and 52-year-old man, who were in the second car, were also injured in the wreck. The woman was airlifted to a local hospital. However, authorities say both Los Alamos, New Mexico residents are expected to be OK.
