SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A magnitude 2.8 earthquake occurred at 3:45 a-m today in northern Utah.
The director of the University of Utah Seismograph Stations Walter Arabasz says the epicenter of the small quake was four miles north-northeast of Alta and 16 miles east-southeast of Salt Lake City.

The shock was reported felt in Park City, Sandy, Draper and Salt Lake City.
