SALT LAKE CITY (March 2, 2007) - Utah Jazz senior vice president of basketball operations, Kevin O'Connor, announced today that the team has requested waivers on Alan Henderson who was acquired in a trade from the Philadelphia 76ers on February 22, 2007.
The 6-9 center out of Indiana played in 34 games for the 76ers this season, averaging 3.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in 11.7 minutes per game.
Henderson was originally drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the first round (16th pick overall) in the 1996 NBA Draft. In his 12-year NBA career, he has played for Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas and Philadelphia. He has averaged 7.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 21.2 minutes in 648 games over 12 NBA seasons.
