(KSL News) -- A fire evacuation interrupted the start of a new school year at Sandy elementary school.

Crews say fire alarms went off just after 3:00 today at Crescent Elementary. Teachers and students quickly evacuated the building.

Firefighters found smoke coming from ventilation areas near the school's air conditioner, but there is no damage to the school and no injuries.
