(KSL News) The Davis High School cheerleaders took third place in a national competition and give all the credit to their coaches.

Our Coco Warner surprised coaches Brooke McArthur and Ashley Thelps with a High 5 this morning.

Lisa Olsen, Davis H.S. cheer advisor: "You are some of the most talented ladies we know when it comes to cheering, tumbling and dancing. We're just grateful to have you as our coaches and our friends."

The coaches were told they had an early meeting with the school principal this morning and were happy to learn they still had their jobs.

Brooke McArthur, Davis H.S. cheer coach: "This is exciting. I wasn't expecting anything like this. All day yesterday I was thinking, I wonder what he wants to talk to us about. But he wouldn't even tell us."

Ashley Thelps, Davis H.S. cheer coach: "We were pretty fearful. We didn't know what to expect."
