Tonya Papanikolas reporting A family from Evanston, Wyoming is talking about the woman who died yesterday in a skydiving accident in Ogden.

The woman's husband and mother said Julia Bond had been wanting to skydive ever since some of her sisters and family went a couple years ago. So when her sisters planned the outing in Utah, she was excited to accomplish a goal.

This was a way to celebrate Julia's 30th birthday. Her husband says he hadn't wanted her to do it, but she was determined.

The whole family made the trip out to Ogden. They say she'd been enjoying the adventure before the accident happened, which gives them some peace.

Justin Bond, Julia's Husband: “She called down to us and said, I love you, babies. She said hi, sweeties. Hi, sweeties."

Bonnie Straw, Julia's Mother: “They were 20-30 feet away. We could see her smile. We waved to her and she said, hi, sweeties. At that point, the chute collapsed and they hit the ground."

Justin Bond: “She went out loving life and got to say her goodbyes, it seems to me."

Justin says his wife was a great mother who loved to be with her family. They have two young children who are four and six years old.
