(KSL News) -- A dip in a local swimming pool could do a lot more than cool you off.
According to a report in today's Deseret Morning News, health inspectors have found health hazards in a number of communal swimming pools.
Problems found include floating scum, high bacterial counts, and chlorine levels too low to kill germs.
However, the health department said no confirmed cases of disease were caused by poor pool conditions. Experts say people can stay safe by only swimming in pools where the water is clear and there is no lemony chlorine smell.
