SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Salt Lake City's downtown station for trains and buses could soon get a new name.

That's if city business leaders get their way. The Salt Lake Chamber and other groups want Utah Transit Authority to change the name of the station. They would like UTA to consider changing it from "Salt Lake Intermodal Hub" to "Salt Lake Central Station."

The downtown hub is where TRAX, commuter rail, UTA buses, Amtrak and Greyhound all gather. The president of the chamber says the name of the hub speaks to the centrality of the transportation network.

UTA officials say the agency will consider the request.
