Whit Johnson Reporting Officers are on the scene of a double shooting that happened after 9:00 Saturday night. Police dispatchers say two people, a man and a 17-year old girl, were shot in the head.
It happened at 900 South 1540 West in Salt Lake City.
A woman at the scene told us her 21-year-old cousin died in the shooting.
She says a birthday party was underway at the Salt Lake home when a car drove up. People from the car got out, went to the house and demanded that her cousin come out. She says people from the car threatened him, choked him and then shot him. Police have not confirmed that information.
The street is flooded with people, and it is a very emotional scene as family members understandably are very upset. Police are interviewing witnesses at the scene.
No word yet on the condition of the other victim.
