(KSL News) -- A hacker entered a network server at the University of Utah.
School officials say during the unauthorized access, the hacker might have obtained information about former employees of the University.
The hacker entered a database filled with the names and social security numbers of nearly 100-thousand former employees. The University says there's no evidence that any names or numbers were taken, but they want to warn former empolyees as a precaution.
Former employees should check the U's web site, www.IDalert.utah.edu, which explains the steps they should take to protect themselves.
