(KSL News) -- An author who's well known for his Tennis Shoes adventure series plans to put tennis shoes on the feet of children throughout Utah.
Chris Heimerdinger has teamed up with Seagull Book to collect new or slightly used tennis shoes for under-privileged kids ages five through 12.
The kickoff for the Tennis Shoes Drive will take place this Friday at the Seagull Book located on Redwood Road. That's the same day Heimerdinger's tenth Tennis Shoes book will be released.
