(Salt Lake City-- KSL TV) A teenage boy was wounded during a drive-by shooting in Salt Lake last night.
The 14-year-old boy was shot in the hip by an assailant in a gray or silver Honda.
The car had actually passed the house at the time of the shooting -- police say the suspect leaned out of the car and turned around to fire the shots.
Lt. Terry Fritz of the Salt Lake City Police Department says, "someone had just arrived at the house to visit, in the wrong place."
Police say that the shooting is mostly likely gang related, although the mother of the teen says her son in not involved with gangs.
The 14-year-old boy is expected to recover. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the police.
