OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- Searchers found a missing snowmobiler early Monday, after the man spent the night in a snowy canyon.
When the man became separated from his group Sunday afternoon, friends spent about an hour looking for him before calling for search-and-rescue help.
Crews searched through the night, locating the snowmobile, but not the man.
The Weber County sheriff's office said a Utah Highway Patrol helicopter spotted the man waving to them just before sunup Monday.
As the man was in a steep, snowy canyon, rescuers will likely have to walk to reach him. Friends say the man was an experienced outdoorsman, but was a novice sled driver.
