(Salt Lake City, KSL News) -- The Olympic Cauldron has been in storage for the last 10 months, but today it was placed in its permanent home in the Olympic Cauldron Park, right next to Rice-Eccles Stadium.
The cauldron resides just 50 feet from its original location and will be re-lit on Saturday, February 8 for Salt Lake's Olympic Anniversary Celebration.
Athletes, volunteers, cast members and spectators are invited to participate from 5 until 7 that night. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
