WEST JORDAN, Utah (AP) -- Residents can get a good bargain this weekend, all for a good cause!
A fundraising yard sale will take place this Saturday in South Jordan to help a young girl get a kidney transplant.
Family and friends of 12-year-old Tailry Macleod are holding the sale to raise money to help pay for her transplant. Diagnosed at age three, the West Jordan girl is now in end-stage renal disease.
The sale --- featuring both new and used items --- will be held from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 10415 South Settlers Bend (2650 West) in South Jordan.
Meanwhile, volunteers have also launched a recycling campaign to help the girl. Residents can drop off their old cell phones, printer cartridges and aluminum cans at the yard sale until the campaign goal of $50,000 is reached.
