(Roy-AP) -- The Utah Defense Alliance says the next round of military base closures could threaten Hill Air Force Base.

Alliance president Vickie McCall said the 2005 round of base realignments and closures will claim some strong facilities.

She told the Roy City Council that while Hill plays a vital defense role, it is hardly secure from a potential closure.

She said, "There are no safe bases. All the easy cuts have been made."
