(Ogden-AP) -- Ogden's police force is seeking another 15 officer to help the department deal with an increase in calls.
Ogden's 130 officers responded to about 85-thousand calls in 2001. By 2002, it had risen to more than 100-thousand.
Police Chief Jon Greiner says the department is seeking a 12 percent increase in it 2004 budget.
He and other city department leaders are making their budget proposals to the City Council. Council members will discuss the budget proposals today in the first of a series of work sessions.
