(Provo-AP) -- Authorities in Utah County are warning seniors to beware of scams.
Financial crimes that target the elderly are nothing new, but the Utah County attorney's office says the number of scams targeting the elderly is on the rise. They're visiting nursing homes to spread the word about the danger.
Investigators say these crimes sometimes go unreported, because people are ashamed of being cheated.
