(Salt Lake City-AP) -- The men suspected of posing as police officers and then kidnapping and robbing motorists in southern Utah were indicted in federal court yesterday.

A grand jury handed up indictments against Juan Vera-Vargas and Arturo Vera-Vargas. They're charged with kidnapping, armed carjacking and using a gun during a violent crime.

The two allegedly used an S-U-V rigged with police lights to pull drivers over. The drivers would then be kidnapped, robbed, and abandoned in remote parts of southern Utah. The victims were all undocumented Mexican workers.
