(KSL News) -- A Utah writer was among nearly two dozen anti-war demonstrators arrested yesterday in our nation's capital.
The 23 women, including Utahn Terry Tempest Williams, were arrested after they allegedly refused to leave the Pennsylvania Avenue pedestrian mall in front of the White House.
The area had been closed to protestors for several hours.
Williams was in Washington along with other Utah members of Code Pink, Women for Peace.
The group marched from Malcolm X Park to the White House, protesting war against Iraq and marking International Women's Day.
