(Salt Lake City- KSL TV) Investigators say that they have found the cause of Monday's five alarm fire in downtown Salt Lake. They will reportedly make that information public this morning.
Yesterday the investigators dug through the rubble of the strip mall looking at electrical equipment and machinery housed in the businesses.
They also examined the water supply along the road, and how non-working fire hydrants may have affected the blaze.
DAN ANDRUS/SALT LAKE CITY FIRE MARSHAL: "THIS WAS A DIFFICULT FIRE TO FIGHT. I KNOW THERE WERE QUESTIONS ABOUT WATER SUPPLY, BUT THE MAJOR OBSTICLE ABOUT FIGHTING THIS FIRE WAS FINDING IT."
In the end investigators say that the hydrant problem did not affect the amount of damage done.
Investigators say that today's report does not include anything unusual or unexpected.
