Jill Atwood reporting The images of bombs dropping in Baghdad stir up memories for a generation familiar with the drama and ugliness of war. Today, World War II era veterans sent e-mails to soldiers abroad.
But because some of them aren't too computer savvy, some high school students offered a little e-support.
We've heard there is nothing more important to the troops than word from home. And now they're hearing from people who've been there and done that.

Today these senior citizens enjoy their twilight years, but never forget the sacrifices made in order to get to this point. With the help of some Brighton High School students, their words go from paper, to computer, to American soldier.

"I BECAME A CITIZEN IN 1922. BEING AN IMMIGRANT FROM EUROPE, I AM VERY GRATEFUL TO HAVE BECOME A PART OF SUCH A WONDERFUL NATION."
Lucimae Pyott Christiansen: "HE KISSED ME GOODBYE AND I DIDN'T SEE HIM FOR TEN DAYS AND I DIDN'T KNOW IF HE HAD SURVIVED. THEY EVACUATED ME INTO HONOLULU THAT DAY. AND I WAS EXPECTING MY FIRST CHILD."
"BECAUSE I'M NEARLY 85 YEARS OF AGE, I HAVE NEEDED THE LORD'S HELP MANY TIMES. I KNOW THAT HE HEARS AND ANSWERS PRAYERS."
