(Salt Lake City-AP) -- A 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted first-degree murder for a shooting that happened in front of a Murray amusement center last week.
According to the documents filed in third District Juvenile Court yesterday, the 16-year-old admitted to police that he was the gunman in the Saturday night shooting at the Utah Fun Dome.
A four-year-old boy from Tooele County was hit by a bullet and was seriously injured. Investigators think the shooting was gang-related, but they have said the shots were fired indiscriminately into the crowd. At least four people were hit. Police found 17 shell casings at the scene.
A judge will decide whether to try the boy as an adult.
