(West Valley City-AP) -- That car you're trying to sell may have low miles and lots of extras -- but until now, you'd better not advertise those selling points while parked on public streets in West Valley City or West Jordan.

Those cities ban "for sale" signs on cars parked on public streets.

But that's about to change.

City attorneys in both suburbs are drawing up documents to repeal those ordinances.

It's because an attorney got involved who said the ban on "for sale" signs violates people's free speech rights. Several other cities around the Salt Lake valley have already gotten rid of their bans under the threat of lawsuits.
