(KSL TV) A 15-year old Weber County girl is dead this morning, allegedly murdered because she got bad grades.
Police say the boyfriend of the girl's mother shot the girl before turning the gun on himself.
Police say the man, his girlfriend and her daughter were parked near a Weber County trail head when they began arguing yesterday afternoon.
The man then got out of the car, firing several shots into the dirt before opening fire on the teen.
Lt. Donny Archuleta/ Weber County Sheriff's Office: "THE MOTHER AND THE YOUNG LADY BOTH EXITED THE CAR -- TO GET SOME HELP."
The woman flagged down a Utah Highway Patrol trooper, but by then the suspect had already shot himself.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooter died a short time later.
