(Tooele-AP) -- Tooele County will hold an open house tonight to update the public on its wetlands plan.

A committee has been meeting for more than a year to talk about 70-thousand acres along the south shore of Great Salt Lake. The group plans to write a plan that allows for development -- and wetlands preservation.

S-W-C-A Environmental Consultants will explain government rules for wetlands, and committee members will answer questions about the planning process.

The open house will begin at six p-m in the Utah Fire Museum at Deseret Peak Complex.
