(Farmington-AP) -- Retired Sunset Fire Chief Scott Lloyd Hood has pleaded guilty to two felony counts of sexual abuse of a child.

The 54-year-old Hood who has been in the Davis County Jail since December. He entered the pleas in second District Court yesterday with the understanding that he would be sentenced to one year in jail with credit given for time served.

Judge Glen Dawson set July first for sentencing.

The crimes were committed against an eight-year-old girl in the past year.
