(KSL TV) A motocross accident at the Jordan River State Park has claimed the life of a 33 year old man.
Investigators say Scott Bagette was riding on the recreational track yesteday when he came over a hill, caught a lot of air, and then fell backwards -- landing on the back of his head and neck.
Investigators say Bagette was an experienced rider.
Lt. Rusty Isakson/Salt Lake City Police Dept.: "HE HAD ALL THE GEAR FOR RIDING BIKES AND WAS PROTECTED. UNFORTUNATELY MISTAKES DO HAPPEN."
The park was closed for a short time while investigators looked into the accident.
