HIGHLAND, Utah (AP) -- A Highland man was shot to death by a teenager who was sighting-in a rifle in a neighboring yard, police said.
Jason P. Jones, 20, was visiting his girlfriend when he was shot in the chest about 3 p.m. Wednesday.
"Our preliminary investigation does suggest it was accidental," said police Chief Kip Botkin.
The 16-year-old who fired the .22-caliber rifle in his back yard was not identified.
No charges were filed, but police said the incident still was under investigation.
