SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Wink Adams scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as UNLV shook off a poor start and beat Utah 70-to-57 Saturday.
The Rebels made 11 of 17 3-pointers and beat the Utes for the fourth straight time.
Luke Nevill led the Utes with 15 points and seven rebounds, who lost for the fourth time in six games. Johnnie Bryant added 14 points for Utah.
The Rebels made four of their first 15 shots while scoring only nine points in the first 9:54 of the game. After that, U-N-L-V hit 22 of 40 shots for 55 percent and led by as many as 21 points.
Kevin Kruger added 11 points for the Rebels, who used an 18-nothing run late in the first half and a 16-nothing run early in the second to take control.
U-N-L-V is 22-and-6 overall and 9-and-4 in the Mountain West.
Utah is 9-and-16 and 4-and-8.
