Police in Orem are searching for answers this evening after discovering two people shot to death on a farm road.

The two were found shortly after eight o'clock this morning in a tree farm used by an Orem nursery.

A hispanic man and woman, both who appear to be in their 20's, were found dead.

Police are calling this a double homicide and are looking for answers and clues as to why this happened and who is responsible.

Police were called to a area behind Cook's Green house in Orem, just west of I-15 at 1600 North in Orem at eight o'clock this morning.

Two people were found shot to death with gunshot wounds to the head in this red Honda.

Detectives initially suspected they were dealing with a murder-suicide, but after finding no weapon and no shell casings have concluded both victims were murdered.

Investigators spent much of the day looking for evidence from the shooting to determine what happened early this morning.

Lt. Ned Jackson, Orem Dept. Of Public Safety: "WE HAVE FOUND A WITNESS HERE ABOUT 1AM THE CAR WAS NOT HERE THEN, THIS OCCURED BETWEEN AFTER ONE OCLOCK AND BEFORE EIGHT THIS MORNING WHEN WE GOT THE CALL."

Police believe they know the identity of the female victim, who is believed to be 22- years old and lived in Orem.

Investigators at this point are trying to identify who the male victim is.

Autopsies are planned on the victims over the weekend.

Police so far do not have any suspects, but are asking for anyone with information on this case to call detectives.
