(KSL TV) An employee at the University of Utah bookstore is being accused of stealing more than $140,000.

According to police, over the past two years accounting specialist supervisor Stacy Williams took the money and then covered her tracks by changing daily receipts.

The theft was uncovered by a routine internal audit.

When confronted, Williams allegedly admitted to the theft. She is expected to surrender herself to police soon.

Bookstore officials say the thefts will not affect bookstore prices.
