KSL NewsA chase on Interstate 15 through Davis County reached speeds of 110 miles per hour this afternoon.
The suspect, Gary Stolzenburg, and the owner of a Layton tire store were fighting at a rest stop along I-15 after the suspect allegedly stole four tires.
He fled and Highway Patrol troopers gave chase. They say the suspect endangered several motorists as he weaved in and out of lanes.
Trooper Sean Frazier says he had one thing on his mind.
Trooper Sean Frazier, Utah Highway Patrol: "Please God, don't let us have a car accident, because at 110 miles per hour, somebody's going to get killed."
The chase ended in a West Bountiful neighborhood where Trooper Frazier rammed the vehicle.
Stolzeberg faces charges of theft, aggravated assault and evading police.
