SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Salt Lake Valley Health Department is making the swine flu vaccine available to the general public early next week.

Department director Gary Edwards says a recent survey indicated that the people most at-risk who wanted to be vaccinated now have been.

With priority patients taken care of and an increase in vaccine supplies, Edwards says it's time to make it available to all.

As of Monday, 52 Salt Lake pharmacies and the health department's four vaccination clinics will offer the vaccine to everyone. Salt Lake County residents are encouraged to contact their local Harmons, Jolleys, Smiths or Walgreens pharmacies for details and vaccine availability.

The H1N1 vaccine is available at Salt Lake Valley Health Department clinics by appointment only. Appointments can be made online Monday and Tuesday or by telephone.
